Dental Implants

Dental implants are a permanent and appealing solution to replace missing or extracted teeth. They are better than other alternatives like bridges because in this procedure, there is minimal damage to the surrounding teeth.

The entire implant process is performed over the course of several months. The first part of the process is to install the implant itself, where it becomes the equivalent of a natural tooth root. Multiple implants can be placed at once if necessary and the initial soreness will wear off after a few short days.

The implant then is given 4-6 months to heal, and during this time the bone will form around the implant in a process called osseointegration. During this healing time, you can have temporary crowns created so that you can eat and speak normally.

After the implant has healed, it is time to place an abutment on the implant. The abutment serves as the physical structure for your new tooth, and and afterwards, we take impressions to create your crown, which protects your tooth and maintains aesthetic beauty. In approximately 3 weeks, after we receive your custom-fabricated crown from the laboratory, we can place the permanent crown on your new implant. Your smile will look just like it used to, and after a short period of getting used to the implant, it will feel just like one of your own teeth.

If you have an implant screw that was placed at specialist's office, Dr. Lee is also able to finish the process here with a beautiful crown.

Special pricing for implants is available. Please contact our office for more details.
